The year is 1949 and the trio wants to show what a Top Gear race would look like if it took place 60 years in the past. Jeremy takes a vintage train, James drives the Jaguar XJ120 and Richard rides the Vincent Black Shadow motorcycle.

After that James heads to the United States for a ride along with rally driver Ken Block in California.
