The presenters all in agreement that road works take far too long. They come up with the idea that it cannot be that difficult and take on the challenge of managing and working with a road works crew to resurface the entirety of Grafton Road near Bidford-on-Avon within 24 hours.

In this episode the trio tries to prove that yes cars can be art. They take three similar vehicles that they think can be considered art - the Alfa Romeo Brera, the Mazda RX8 and the Audi TT and are challenged by three art experts to justify their case.

Episode Description
The presenters are challenged with seeing if they can purchase a car for a road trip in the United States for less than it would cost to rent one for the same trip. They are given $1000 to purchase a car in the city of Miami, Florida, their starting point, and drive them all the way to New Orleans, Louisiana where they will end up selling it to make some money back. In this instance though this episode took place a couple years after the devastating hurricane Katrina and the presenters instead decided to donate their vehicles.

James, Richard and Jeremy set out to find out how hard faming can possibly be. They purchase three farm tractors and face a few challenges at the Top Gear test track to get familiar with their machines. For the final challenge they must successfully cultivate a real field near Royston, England and plant seed to which will then be turned into fuel for the next season.

Episode Description
The presenters set themselves a challenge of building some home made limousines and bringing three stars to an awards show in London. Jeremy builds a massively long stretch limo out of a Fiat Panda, James combines the front ends of a Saab and Alfa Romeo into a single vehicle, and Richards builds what may be the only convertible limousine in the world.
